Burleigh Family of 5

Yes, you read that right.  We are expecting!  It is still quite early, but why not share the news?!  After much debate if we were ready to close the doors on having more children, Brian and I had decided that we were content just a family of 4 and had an appointment to make that decision official.  As it turns out, there were other plans in the works, as you can tell.  I have my first prenatal appointment on 5/17 and at that time they should do an early ultrasound to see a close due date based on the baby's size.  However, by my calculation, we should expect another December baby....in fact due roughly December 23-28...so, pretty much due Christmas.  It will be a busy month, that's for sure, with Addison's birthday, Christmas, and another baby.  We are thrilled, after the inital shock that is!  Addison says she wants a brother and Kennedy doesn't really care.  In fact, I am pretty sure Kennedy would be happy to have either a brother or sister to boss around LOL!  As for Brian and I, we would be happy to have either a boy or girl.  It would be nice to have a boy so that we can even out that male/female ratio in our household (although I am not sure I can picture myself having a boy after having 2 girls).  Being that we already got rid of all our baby girl stuff, pretty much down to only having a crib left, it wouldn't really be an advantage to having a girl, as we don't have any girl stuff left.  We really jinxed ourselves, didn't we?! 

Regardless, we are happy and looking forward to doing some round robin with the bedrooms.  Addison said she would like to have the office (it is our biggest room, plus has 3 great windows that overlook the backyard).  Kennedy would then take Addison's old room (since it is the next biggest).  Leaving the new baby with Kennedy's old room.  So, you know what that means?  Lots and lots of painting for me!
