We're Having a?!?!
We are getting excited for the new addition to the Burleigh Family that is joining us this coming February. I have had 2 ultrasounds in the past few weeks and have not been able to get a definitive answer as to whether our little one is a boy or girl. The first ultrasound the baby has it's legs crossed, but they could see the 3 lines that would indicate a girl, but couldn't determine that there wasn't anything hiding between the legs. I ended up having to go back for another ultrasound the following week since they couldn't get a good profile picture of the baby. So, I geared up and had a bit of caffeine and orange juice to help get the baby going in hopes of finding out the sex. Well, this time the baby had one leg out (like doing the splits) and another leg tucked up under where we would be able to see the genitals. I was really bummed! At this point we will assume that we are having a girl unless proved otherwise and might try to see if we can get another ultrasound scheduled and the baby to cooperate so we know the gender for sure. Because, as many of you know I am a planner and don't like to be taken by surprise, so I would like to have the appropriate boy or girl blanket made and color coordinate the announcements for a boy or girl.

Fun in the Sun!
On Memorial Weekend we decided to get away and go to the beach on Saturday. First we went to Tillamook and took Addison to the cheese factory. She was a bit restless and didn't want to take the time to let mom and dad look at everything, so we had to skip forward to the cheese samples. For those of you who know Addison, she loves her cheese! Her favorite was the cheese curds, so we bought a little bag for her to snack on while we drove up the coast to Cannon Beach.
Next was lunch at Moe's and playing on the beach at Tolovana Park. Addison enjoyed digging in the sand and especially loved getting her feet wet. Mom even took Addison to the water and got soaked from the knees down.....luckily the water wasn't as cold as it looked. It was so funny, Addison would look at the water and say "ready" and run wait for the water to hit her feet and she run away and shriek with joy! Brian was about 75 feet away and could her Addison's cries of joy so clearly. Addison also loved petting all of the puppies as they walked by. It was hard to tear her away from the sand, but it was nap time for her and mom and dad wanted to go to Seaside to get some salt water taffy.
All in all we had a fun day at the beach. Next time we plan to go to the Oregon Coast Aquarium so Addison can see all of the fishies.
Again, sorry no pictures. I actually saved them to a DVD and took them to my mom's house and the computer wouldn't recognize the disc :(
