What's New with the Girls

I got called at work on Monday and informed that Kennedy had a fever and was not her usual happy self. After picking her up and assessing her, I decided that she probably had an ear infection and should take her in to the doctor. Sure enough she has the start of an ear infection in her left ear :( Poor thing! She is now on antibiotics for 10 days. I never had to give Addison medications before she was used to eating solid foods and having things other than breast milk. So, this has proved challenging for me. Kennedy keeps spitting our the Tylenol and antibiotics :( She isn't wanting to take a bottle....but finally after about 10 minutes I was able to get the 6.5ml of medication in her. This is going to be a long 10 days! Despite her not feeling well she is still in pretty good spirits. She is wanting to be held at lot more but that's okay with me :) At her doctor appointment she weighed 16lbs 6oz so she is still growing like a weed!

Addison is doing very well. She is having lots of fun dressing up in her princess outfits. She had Snow White (aka Snow Wipe) and Sleeping Beauty (aka Sleeping Cutie) but we added Cinderella to the mix this past weekend. She is so funny, she walks around as Cinderella and says she is going to the "Grand Ball" and that she needs her "glass slippers". She even reads us her Cinderella book at night and does a pretty good job....she mostly describes what is happening on the page or who is on the page....like Anastasia broke Cinderella's dress and she is dancing with the Prince (but according to her he is not Prince Charming). It's so cute!

We have had a bit of regression on the potty training since we moved 1 1/2 months ago, but we seem to be getting back on the right track. I bought Addison some princess panties for being a good girl while Mama Vicki watched her the other weekend. Since then she is doing so well! We have been taking her out in public in her princess panties and she is using the public restrooms and everything. The big challenge has been pooping in the potty. She has been waiting until she has a diaper on at nap time or bed time and pooping then. Well, today she wore her princess panties (and Cinderella costume) at nap time and as predicted she came out and announced that she pooped. However, this time she has a tone or achievement in her voice and rightfully so....all by herself she pooped in the toilet! She did very good and she even tried to wipe by herself. It was so funny, I ended up having to change her because she didn't so much get her bottom when she wiped but she did manage to get the whole roll of toilet paper (which happened to be 2/3 of a roll) into the toilet though! So mom had to do some handy work to be able to flush. But it's a small price you pay to get potty trained LOL!

Lots of New Pics!!!!

I have really been slacking. Here are lots of pics of the girls :)

Kennedy is 4 Months Old!!!

Posing for mommy. (sorry I need to doctor this one, this lighting is not great)

Check out that look!

Kennedy is all smiles!

Tummy time. Look at those eyes!

Our little girl....well, she isn't so little any more! Kennedy turned 4 months old last week and had her 4 month visit with the pediatrician this past Monday which Brian had the pleasure of taking her to. Brian arrived to the appointment with Kennedy in tow and she was her happy self, just smiling and giggling for the Dr. Brian asked the Dr if she was sure she wanted to ruin it by giving her the shots LOL! Poor Kennedy got 4 shots and boy did she cry :( Her stats were 15lbs 8oz (85th percentile) and 2ft 2in tall (95th percentile)....her head is in the 11th percentile, which is kind small but she is just like her sister in that boat and their head size is just perfect if you ask me! The Dr said Kennedy is doing just perfect and was surprised that she was rolling over already. Yes, that's right Kennedy rolls over from her back to her tummy and has for a few weeks now. Kennedy also is bearing weight so well. Yesterday I put her on the floor to use the couch to balance her and she just stood there for the longest time before she decided she had enough. I think we are going to have an early walker just like her sister.

As far as Addison goes. She is doing just great! The other days she brought her bike in the house and insisted on sitting on it and walking it through the house, which she must do while wearing her helmet and elbow pads. She is a hoot! Yesterday she wore her helmet and elbow pads from the time she woke up until she took her nap in the afternoon and only took them off to eat. After she ate she brought her pads over and said "mommy I need my elbows". It was so cute! Addison has also taken to calling us Bri and Linz when we don't give her our attention right away...she picks up on everything!
