Come on Down to Texas....Grandpa Phil Visit from Oregon

Grandpa Phil came to visit the Burleigh family April 29-May 4 and we had a fun filled trip.

Day 1: Brian and I both had a work, so Grandpa Phil and Addison got to play all day. They went for a walk around the neighborhood in Addison's John Deere wagon and went to the park to play on the swings. Grandpa Phil got lots of reading in, as Addison is an avid reader....of the same books! Addison enjoyed wearing Grandpa Phil's boots around the house as well, even though she couldn't even move in them.

Day 2: I had the day off, so we went to the JFK memorial museum in downtown Dallas. This was quite the adventure, as Addison decided to throw up all over me halfway through the tour.

Day 3: Brian had the day off, so he took Grandpa Phil to Cavenders (a western wear store) in Plano, where Grandpa Phil bought himself a new cowboy hat. Again they took Addison to the neighborhood park but this time daddy took Addison down the big slide!

Day 4: The whole family had the day off, so we started the morning off trying to find the McKinney Farmer's Market, which turned out to be very disappointing with only a handful (literally) of vendors. We ended the day with a Texas style BBQ dinner at Spring Creek BBQ and a Frisco Roughriders (minor league) baseball game, which Grandpa Jeff & Grandma Cheryl enjoyed with us. Addison really enjoyed this, she even got a puppy balloon animal that lasted less than 5 minutes before she popped it!

Day 5: We took Grandpa Phil back to Dallas Love Airfield to go back to Oregon. We had a nice visit.

Addison was really getting into the game, she especially liked the mascots.
